Maternity Session with the Imes Family

Another favorite session. I love how close this location is and the versatility to it! You get the cool, old abandoned building look mixed with the beautiful overlook of the valley. The bonus to doing this location early in the year, is none of the cacti have a chance to grow. This session was a tad cold, but the Imes family was such troopers and their kids handled it so well! I always feel bad being bundled up while the ones in front of the camera have to be exposed to the cold.

I met this sweet family in the winter of 2023 and have been blessed to photograph them several times now! Andrea was just a few weeks from being due and was such a trooper, despite the discomforts of late pregnancy. The kept their happy spirits and we flowed through the session with such a breeze. The change of scenery is always fun for the kids, but I think even they will say they loved the building more as it didn’t have the fierce winds the mountain top had.

Truly the best location, right before sunset, and gives the most stunning light. Just be sure to prepare for the fierce winds that come over the top of the mountain, but if you brave it, it’s 10/10 worth it.
